/ryan budget when it hits the ground, he's going to lose. he's just not going to be able to carry enough independent voters. as i said on top of the auto rescue, we have people that have actually felt the obama policies help them. right down the supply chain in the auto industry here, you can go to places like the logistics company, the trucking company, the seat manufacturer, all the way down the line have benefited and they know, i was out at the plant gate the other day, they know it was obama sticking his neck out in 2009 to make sure that gm didn't go bankrupt and the autos didn't go bankrupt. >> i will be curious -- >> romney was on the wrong side of that. >> curious to see how the polling does when there is a good -- right? we're too close to the debate, we didn't have the good post-debate polls in the state of ohio yet to really flush that out. >> any swing state poll after the debate, except in colorado, which still shows obama with a four-point be edge there? >> in ohio we were in the field before the debate and i was in cincinnati

/ryan budget. you're looking at billions of dollars and less in investments in the states. about $4.5 billion less a year in ohio and in virginia alone. they're going to have to go out to constituents and explain why they're raising taxes or cutting benefits. huge implications for state and local budgets based on what's decided this year. and that's often what really hits the kitchen table more. >> i see you voted today. >> i did vote in virginia today. >> who did you vote for? that's the question. >> for president obama and for governor kaye. >> i'll take a more apolitical attack. bud selig and the powers that be in major league baseball. we had the debut of the one-game wild card playoff. baseball added an extra wild card this year. the very first game, the braves versus the cardinals, ended up being decided by a blown umpire's call in the eighth inning. and fans were throwing garbage on the field and it was a lousy error-ridden game to begin with. bud selig, this is a sign from the baseball gods

we know paul ryan isn't the inexperienced debater romney makes him out to be. you know, why is the campaign, you know, kind of playing this game again? i mean, this is somebody who spent seven terms on congress. he knows what it is to speak in front of people and debate an issue. >> this is all about psychological warfare at this point. each camp is trying to psych out the other in terms of what the experience is, where they're going to head, what they're not going to say, what they're going to say, but, you know, mitt romney is almost right when he said that maybe paul debated in high school because he started his political career so young. he was 27, maybe 28 at the time wrish think we have some video. he did do a debate during his first congressional campaign back in 1998 when he beat the democrat lidia spotswood. there you see. it's a little grainy, old, but there you see a very young paul ryan having a debate, but to be fair, debating somebody in a congressional district in wisconsin is not even close to the same as debating on the vice presidential level
